The Innovation Paradox: Why Foundation Wealth is their Greatest Weakness
I had the incredible opportunity to bring my ideas to the stage through a Lightning Talk at the Technology Association of Grantmakers Conference on Tuesday!
My talk, "The Innovation Paradox: Why Foundation Wealth is their Greatest Weakness" addressed philanthropy's stagnation due to operating in a unique economic environment without revenue pressure or competition.
And, that we have an unprecedented opportunity right now to fundamentally recreate the philanthropic process through technology, removing barriers between resources and need.
A few other themes that resonated with me from other sessions and conversations:
✨ Nicol Turner Lee's concept of "digitally invisible" and the risk of further excluding these individuals is extremely high as we are thrust into this new technological era.
✨ When building with AI, it's important to first understand and create a testing framework that you can refer back to as AI models change so quickly.
✨ All roads lead back to data: where it's housed, who has access to it, how to keep it secure, and how we can learn from it.
