Those in Power Write the Rules

I've been using Claude Code to join IRS nonprofit data for weeks now.
And the deeper I dig, the more I learn about the discrepancy in data on the side of foundations.

Sure, they have to file 990s with past grantee data, but there is little else that indicates a foundation's priorities. NTEE codes just don't cut it.

And don't even get me started on DAFs.

I believe that if you have the "altruistic" intentions to set up a foundation (which I use loosely because, well, tax havens), then you should have to uphold the same level of accountability as nonprofits.

But the data shows what we already know: those in power write the rules.
