Hope.
The past couple of weeks, I have been doing some deep Al learning this time on the side of the "doomsayers."
It has made me think a lot about the potential negative consequences of the current trajectory of Al development and then I came across this quote by author Rebecca Solnit,
"Hope locates itself in the premises that we don't know what will happen and that in the spaciousness of uncertainty is room to act.
When you recognize uncertainty, you recognize that you may be able to influence the outcomes you alone or you in concert with a few dozen or several million others.
Hope is an embrace of the unknown and the unknowable..."
We don't know what the future holds, but let's remain hopeful about the ways that Al can shape our future for the better.
